“If your plan is for a year, plant rice.
If your plan is for a decade, plant trees.
If your plan is for a lifetime, educate children.”

Who Am I?

I’m two people

Yet one body

I am the person

People expect me to be

I am the person

I want to be

Sometimes the second gets

Confused with the first

My soul screams to be let out

Of its cage

I am confused

What do I really like to do?

Do I like the things that I do

Because it feels safe

I don’t want to be safe

I want to be me

I want to break

From the barriers of this cage

The cage of society

The cage of my friends

And peers

My parents

And my family

I want to be me

Even if I don’t know who that is
