 MISCELLANY

EndNotes

Life is a Kite

Life is a Kite
Soaring through the sky,
Though if it isn't guided with care
It may get caught.
Caught in a mess
Of tangled string and an unending
maze of limbs

Alone.
Ripped from the many careless
hands of branches,
Not able to be repaired, mended, restored.
Scattered pieces here and there,
Never to be one again.

— Daisy Clarkson, age 17*

Mother Nature, in her infinite wisdom, has instilled within each of us a powerful biological instinct to reproduce; this is her way of assuring that the human race, come what may, will never have any disposable income.

Something Missing

There's something mising
there is an empty space where
it should be,
but I can't
seem
to fill it.

I have looked
at myself and
said "what's
wrong with me?"
But still there
is a space
thatI cannot fill.

maybe I'll find it someday
maybe I'll fill
the hole

but until then
tehere's something
missing.
what can it be?
