____________

The JOURNAL OF CHILD AND YOUTH CARE was conceived to serve the needs of the child and youth care practitioner. The core area of knowledge from which this profession has developed emanates from direct involvement in the day-to-day lives of children and youth. From this perspective, the practicing child and youth care worker is considered an expert. The JOURNAL was committed to the task of making such knowledge more available and must appeal to the experts for assistance.
