Learning First Nations' Wise Practices?

Is there a training program for learning First Nations' Wise Practices? If so where would we be able to take this program? Or do we need to mentor under a First Nation's elder in our community?

Thanks!

Hello Melanie,

I'm not sure where you are in the world, but thought I would add to the replies you'll likely receive regarding your question. There are many training programs to choose from. Fanshawe College (London Ontario Campus) has recently developed a First Nation Studies diploma. What I appreciate about it is how they are utilizing local elders and involving students directly in First Nations ceremonies in the region. You can find information about it here: First Nations Studies Fanshawe College
